Avis was procrastinating. Bigtime. Then again, this could be said about her entire life in general, waiting until the last possible minute to do ANYTHING, really. But in the case of OWLs. . .procrastination didn't even begin to cover it. She'd found herself reading three chapters of her potions textbook that she hadn't even realized they'd covered back at the beginning of the year, was practicing charms before she walked into the room for exams, or was screaming at anyone who would listen to help her with transfiguration, because the goblet was still half-pocketwatch

Margie momentarily stopped to stare up at Avis like she had three heads. Procrastinating? Oh god she couldn't even think what it would be like to actually procrastinate. As it was she couldn't walk from place to place without also having her head halfway stuck in a book, clumsily bumping into people every so often or tripping.

"You're procrastinating? How could you procrastinate? OWLs are...are...here. Now. Happening," she said with mostly horror but a bit of her was full of awe. Imagine not having your head stuck in a book and freaking out. It was just so far out of her reach.

This was one of the reasons that she sometimes wished she was more like Avis.

Avis smiled back, noticing that look of worry on Margie's face. She could have smirked and teased, but she knew she'd have that same exact look on her face soon enough. More like. . .as she was walking into the exam room.

"I keep falling asleep, or I want to go swim, or I can't stay motivated, or it's too bloody warm out! I always procrastinate, it's my one vice, it is," Avis nodded. "Besides, I THINK I have everything down pat."

She didn't. Avis was living under a delusion.

"Well, what do you have left? What are you studying now?"

Everyone would be having that look soon enough, whether it was right now or right before the exam. Any part of this was going to be horrible for everyone involved. Why was school so horrible? They must love torturing the students or something.

"Oh right, the heat, that's pretty bad," Margie trailed off, not really knowing what to say. It amazed her that Avis was falling asleep with ease, never mind swimming or anything else. And she had everything down pat? Merlin. "That's good! That you're, you know, urm...you know that you already have it down. And that it's all brilliant in your mind. Or something."

So much for having any brain function at all, apparently.

She looked down at her book and sighed, tapping a finger on the part that she left off on, "I don't even know. Right now it's DADA and then later tonight will be more History, Astronomy and Charms. And then more Charms. And more everything. What are you working on?"
