While it was difficult for Lexi to be social in general, now it was even more so. Since coming upon Thatcher and Isaac beating each other up, things were... awkward. To say the least. The two Gryffindor boys were like her best friends at Hogwarts, with the general lot of her others had been pulled from the school. The three were continuing to basically ignore one another, and Lexi could only imagine how weird it was for the two seventh years, as they had to share a dorm. Lexi never thought it would happen, but she was actually feeling a bit lonely.
The library had become her usual spot of late, avoiding Gryffindor tower at almost all costs, and she was currently on her way from a few glorious hours of tossing her stresses away in a completely different world. Stopping for a brief moment to toss her latest Dickens read into her bookbag, Lexi sighed softly and continued on her way to the Common Room, ready to call it a night.
Hermione was used to seeing Gryffindor blokes fight over nothing of importance. It was practically her forte, breaking up meaningless rows and forcing friends to apologize to one another. It was frustrating, of course, while it was happening, and loneliness was bound to occur, but it always seemed to end up right in the end for her. Perhaps Lexi would also be fortunate.
Hermione, however, knew nothing of what this girl was going through. All that mattered was that she appeared to be wearing Gryffindor robes, and that meant she was the best candidate, nevermind the only candidate.
"Excuse me! Sorry to bother you, but do you have a moment?" Hermione whispered into the corridor, opening the door to the classroom a bit further and poking her head out carefully.
If Lexi had known anything about Hermione Granger, she would definitely be grateful for any advice on the matter of having your best friends fight. She didn't have experience with this, after all, and it she frankly hoped it never happened again. Ever.
A quiet voice echoed in the now-empty corridor, and Lexi stopped in mid-step, glancing over to where the sound seemingly came from. Her eyes narrowing slightly, she looked straight at an unknown woman. "Sorry... me?" she said in a returned whisper, brows furrowing with slight confusion as Lexi took a few small steps closer to the classroom door.
Rather a pointless question, indeed, seeing as Lexi was the only person currently in the corridor, but something she mumbled all the same. "Err, sure. Are you lost?"
It would happen again, possibly several times - but once a girl became accustomed to it? Became more of a general bother than a specific... crisis. If the subject should come up sometime in their chat, Hermione would be more than happy to help. If not, Lexi would learn in time.
"If you have time to spare, yes please," Hermione answered her with a nervous smile, taking a deep breath before opening the door completely. She'd faced for more frightening things than speaking with a Hogwarts student, of course, but somehow - after all these years - social incidents were still more awkward than... catastrophes.
"I couldn't find myself lost in this place if I tried," Hermione answered her honestly, thinking back to the several times she'd read Hogwarts, a History. She blinked a few times, scanning the corridors for other students before stepping out slightly and crossing her arms over her chest
