ANYWAY, that was why she'd come down to dinner at a normal time. Not ridiculously early or late like she usually did to avoid the huge crowd. She actually talked with people at dinner and walked out of the Great Hall without the intention of running off and hiding.
It was then that she saw Troy. Friend of Sam's, kind bloke, great kisser. She smiled and walked over to him. "Well, someone's in a good mood today," she said kindly. "Hello Troy, how are you?"

He jogged a bit over to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders, having to hunch over to do so. "I am rather bloody brill, lately. But, more importantly, I'm interested in what you've been up to. Haven't seen you for a while, of course."

Poor self image? Never. Riley's was accurate. She knew she was pretty. She also knew she was incredibly awkward and not the best of company. She accepted this and moved on. No self loathing for her.
She craned her neck up to look at him. The boy was tall. Much taller than her. Then again, that didn't take much at all. "That's great to hear. Though I haven't been up to much. I'm a very boring person in all honesty."

Troy was a bloke who liked all kinds of girls, he just had a particular fondness for awkward, shy, genuinely cute ones. Ones who didn't realize just how wonderful they were. Hence his current huge, mad crush on Lolita. Or that old crush on that one Gryffindor girl.
"I'm sure anything you do will have to be interesting. Humour me," he chuckled. "Or make it up. Or tell me how wonderful it is to sit in the library all day studying for your NEWTs."
