Week Name/Date/Time: 'Minister Maladies' / Friday, 24th February 2006 / 9:26am Location: Outside the Great Hall Open To: Dari Currently Involving: Riley
Dari hadn't been up nearly so long, but she was up earlier than a lot of people would be on a day when they didn't have class. She'd done a little reading before heading down to breakfast, which seemed like it was about to be delayed a bit more by running into someone outside the Great Hall.
"Oh, hey, Riley," she called out a greeting as she stopped walking. She didn't know the girl very well, but she knew she and Sam were close and if Sam thought she was nice, she probably was, right?
And it was this moment when Riley realized that she had absolutely nothing to talk about. She wasn't a very interesting person, to say the least. She generally avoided most of the topics that other girls liked to talk about: romance, fashion, boys...that sort of thing.
So she went with a safe topic. "How are you?" Couldn't get safer than that. Really. Who didn't like to talk about themselves. Well, apart from Riley. But she was a loser and she'd accepted this fact. That's just how she rolled...or something similar.
Who didn't like to talk about themselves? Dari, for one. She tended to not volunteer details, even to people she was close to. Even Jeremy usually had to drag things out of her.
Small talk, however, wasn't so bad. "Oh, I'm good," she replied, smiling as she moved to lean back against the wall. "How about you?"
"I'm...well, I'm currently existing. Can't really complain about that," Riley said with a laugh. Other than that? She was also starting to regret this whole 'socialisation' thing. Ah, well. Already started, didn't she?
"Actually I'm rather bored. Don't have class today and I really don't have much else to do with myself." Ah piss, that sounded pathetic didn't it?
