Funny thing, life, really. Just over a week ago, Troy was happy and healthy, only slightly perturbed from lack of Quidditch, grinning and feeling altogether positive about life and his situation. Then came being beaten up and almost sterilized, having the bird he loved find him in said beaten and sterilized status and ALSO be flirted with by another bloke, almost crying in front of Rylie in the library. . .
And then his room was falling off the building.
Funny thing indeed. And not funny "Ha ha," funny as in "What in the heck is wrong with this all?!"
Troy had been keeping himself partly distracted by reading Candide multiple times, re-reading Lolita, making more origami, practicing charms, and sleeping. And Quidditch, but that was nothing new. Even if sleeping was a bit less comfortable in the cramped makeshift dormitories stuck in the seventh floor, away from their tower during repairs. He'd been spending more time relaxing in the library due to the loss of his common room, which meant a bit more focus on studies. . .
Yep. Troy was bored. Maybe it was displacement, maybe it was still frustration from the previous week, or maybe it was something else. One thing he did know was that food would help solve this. Warm food, comfort food, really. He was walking to the Great Hall for dinner, pondering this topic to himself. Hey, it helped boys feel better, right?
Or. . .er. . .MEN. Yes. It helped MEN feel better. Which is what Troy was.
Even if his confidence in this was a bit shaken at the moment, which was something new in itself.
