Bryant stretched lazily as he came into th kitchens, still clad in his favourite grey sweats and a yellow t-shirt. What? He liked to sleep in Puff colours. So?
Thursdays were brilliant in that there were no classes to pretend he might attend, so he could be lazy without getting dirty looks or lectures about how he should care more about school things. He celebrated the fact today by sleeping late and now he was coming into the kitchens in search of sustenance. Breakfast or lunch or whatever struck his fancy.
His good mood was halted a bit, though, as he entered the kitchens to see one of his least favourite people right there with his head in the fridge.
"Great," he muttered quietly as he started searching the cupboards on the opposite end. Why did he have to be here?
Bryant raised an eyebrow, sincerely surprised by his brother's sudden concern.
"Nothing. Why do you care?" he asked. His tone wasn't entirely hostile, more disbelieving than anything else. Becuase this was definitely a first for them.
Of course, he still didn't volunteer any information.
Jeremy sat there, just looking at him for a moment. Honestly, he didn't know why he cared... but he did. Blame it on something family-ish, if you have to.
"There's something," he informed him quietly. "You're... being less of a ponce than normal different," he concluded rather lamely.
He took another bite of his sandwich then and sipped his drink was he waited on the boy to either open up or tell him to piss off.
Fine. Jeremy wanted to know? Bryant might as well tell him. At least when the boy laughed at him, he'd have an excuse to beat the stuffing out of him.
"Savannah hexed me, if you must know," he muttered, not taking his eyes from the plate in front of him. He tried to shrug as if it was no big deal at all. It wasn't like he was going to cry like a girly man in front of this ponce or anything.
Jeremy didn't laugh. Though, he might have wanted to.
"She hexed you?" he questioned, hiding his slight amusement quite well.
"Odd," he assessed rather quietly. "I figured that she'd be hung up on you for the rest of her days."
She was, obviously, hung up on the Hufflepuff, after all. After their little moment -possibly during- she'd been completely immune to his charms. That, clearly, meant that she had a thing for another bloke. It didn't take Jeremy long to figure out exactly which bloke when Bryant came punching on him... but... that's besides the point.
"What did you do?" he questioned lifting a brow at the Hufflepuff.
Jeremy was just crazy. Savannah wasn't hung up on him at all. She was just nuts. He shook his head and might have thought about playing nice or saying something more, but then Jeremy had to go and ask that.
"Right, because I must have deserved it. I knew it was a mistake talking to you about this," Bry grumbled, shooting the other boy a glare.
He'd been dafted to think Jeremy could ever be anything but the prat he so obviously was.
Everyone was crazy or nuts, eh? Sure, okay. Whatever we have to tell ourselves so that we can sleep at night.
Jeremy held up his hands as a form of surrender. "Hey, now," he corrected. "I didn't mean it like that. What did she think you'd done?"
He really hadn't meant for his question to sound that way. He knew that Savannah was... unbalanced at times. Bryant probably didn't have to do anything at all to make her pissed.
Besides, as much as Jeremy liked to make fun of Bryant, he wasn't going to do it the one time the boy actually opened up. That was just wrong.
Bry rolled his eyes. Right, like he was going to buy that Jeremy hadn't meant it like it sounded. He wasn't quite that stupid, thankyouverymuch.
"It doesn't matter," he grumbled, finishing the last of his sandwich and moving to carry his plate to the sink. Sure, the Elves would clean up, but it was habit, taking care of his own stuff.
It wasn't like Jeremy really cared anyway. He probably thought it was funny or something.
"Who knows?" Bry asked with a shrug. "I was just walking with Ainsleigh and she came by and just lost it. Next thing I know, I'm hanging in midair and I'm being attacked by my own bogeys.
Yeah, Bryant had a conveniently selective memory about what had happened, but so what?
Bry just rolled his eyes at Jeremy's response. Typical, wasn't it. At any rate, his lunch was done and it wasn't like he actually wanted to just hang around here, so he gave Jeremy a curt nod that was almost polite even and made his excuses, saying his goodbyes, before ducking back out of the kitchens.

"No, really, what happened? She must have gotten something in her brain for her to behave that way."
Oddly, he did care. He'd never admit to it, but he cared.
"I mean... she's... we both know how she is... I'm just saying... something had to set her off. You know, real or imagined."
Maybe he was pushing it, but he was interested.

I mean, that was simple, wasn't it? He was with another girl and Savannah had flipped.
Bryant really was thick sometimes.
Sure, it wasn't the most efficient way to show your emotions but it was certainly loud and clear to him why Savannah would behave in such a manner.
