Aw, shizzle. Did dogpiles have to throw themselves in the grass every few steps or so? Freaking dogs. Actually, come to think of it, the creatures that ( Read more... )

Merlin Flanagan didn't really look where he walked, which was clearly a problem if one considered Lolita's current fascination with dogpiles. Should he misstep and end up in one, it could mean disaster for the castle. Not only would Filch be peeved at the tracking indoors, the students would likely complain about the smell and stick their noses high into the air. Luckily, Merlin Flanagan was light on his feet. He didn't need to watch where he was going, he would just know not to step in certain spots.

He couldn't really give himself a reason for being outdoors. He'd tried thinking of an excuse to galavant about the grounds, but nothing logical had come to mind. His type of dancing was much more fun on hard floors, reading could be done anywhere... and he wouldn't be sitting on the ground with all the mud, and he wasn't a real lover of nature. Yet here he was, shuffling about with his face buried in his scarf and a glimmer of happiness in his eyes.

Apparently blokes just needed to take walks sometimes. You know, to think about the ( ... )

Hogwarts had been recently abuzz about one Merlin Flanagan. From students' idle chattering, Merlin was about as awesome as awesome came. So naturally, Lolita assumed he was one of those popular, ladies'-man sort of guy, and steered clear of actually meeting said bloke. Of course, that probably wasn't the mature way of dealing with people, but hey, Lolita didn't deal with people. She either avoided them or beat them up.

And of course people Lolita didn't go gallivanting after always seemed to turn up near her, as in the case of Dariana Davison. Merlin Flanagan, teh awesome himself, came strolling up among all the dogpiles. Creaturepiles. Whatever.

Lolita was a bit curious, she had to admit. She hadn't spoken to Merlin before, though she knew exactly who he was.

"Watch out," she warned, pointing at his feet, which were striding around piles of, er, material. "You don't want to know what those are. Even though it's quite plain from the look of them."

Contemplative stroll, eh? Lolita chuckled a bit. "Maybe you think while you walk ( ... )

Merlin had not heard any rumours about him being as awesome as awesome came, sadly. Even if he had, he'd not believe it himself. Too many years of being a social outcast, of being picked on for having the name of 'that one famous wizard bloke'. He might have been a bit flirty, but he definitely didn't realize that he was as such! And he wasn't a snogging fiend either, he had a bloody girlfriend whom he cared for more than anything, and he read Shakespeare to her! No, Merlin didn't think he was popular, Merry was just content with being himself. Which, all things considered, was probably for the best.

Merry could say the same about Lolita Damon! He was interested in meeting her, he just wasn't quite sure what to say. Meeting people was always awkward if he wasn't prepared for it.

"Wha' the bleedin'... why are they so big? Someone 'round here have a pet dragon or somet'ing?" Merry asked no one in particular, though perhaps Lolita would answer. She was right there, after all ( ... )

Funny that Merlin hadn't heard the rumours, as they were just about everywhere. Or maybe Lolita was insane, as people kept telling her. Either way, things weren't going to make the world a happier place, so there wasn't any use in contemplating it ( ... )
