"You did NOT!" Darcy replied before Deirdre could even see her, but there was evidence of her smile even in just her voice. How could she NOT be smiling?! Starting the weekend (a day early) with a sleepover was one of her favourite things in the world! She loved sleeping in the seventh year dormitory, and spending the night being giggly and talking to Deirdre was like having the very best part of home with her at Hogwarts ( ... )

Deirdre giggled to herself as Darcy's voice carried over to her bed before the younger girl was even through the door. She hadn't really meant what she'd said, no, but it was her job to tease her sister, just as it was Darcy's job to tease her back. But that wasn't important now, as they were having one of their famous sleepovers. It was nights like these that she'd missed terribly her first few years at Hogwarts ( ... )

Darcy had been boucing her feet up and down on the bed while she gave Deirdre her undivided attention. She stopped, however, when the question was asked, and for a moment merely STARED at her sister. Deirie was so sweet and lovely. And pathetic. Darcy rolled her eyes and sighed. "Yes, I finished all my homework. Why do you think it took me so long to get here!?" After a pause during which she attempted to stare Deirdre down without laughing at her, Darcy continued. "My week has been okay, I guess. You know Mason left, right? And Sascha? Deirdre giggled a bit as her sister stared her down; it wasn't like she didn't know it was coming. Honestly, Darcy should know her better than that! It was perhaps only a formality, really, precisely because Darcy knew what to expect, but Deirdre still had to ask it. She nodded, satisfied by her sister's answer and not in the least phased by her sister's attempt at glaring ( ... )
