Week Name/Date/Time: The Season Begins/ Thursday, December 1st, 2005/12:57pm
Location: Grounds
Open to: Jory
Currently Involving: Saffron and Jory

That little snow fort business had not been enough snow for Saffron. Sure the fort had come out well and she eventually coaxed Jory inside of it, but it was just the beginning of winter and every chance to play in the snow had to exploited. It seemed her calculations were correct. After the hard snowfall and the freeze, she suspected that the snow would be brilliant for walking on. And in fact, as she dragged Jory across the grounds by the hand, she hadn't even fallen in once. Though, if she had, it wouldn't have mattered, as she had her winter boots on. Actually, she had all of her winter things on: mittens, jacket, pants, boots, hat, and scarf. Jory was bundled up in a similar fashion (as she had forced him) and they were traipsing around the grounds trying to find the perfect spot. Or at least Saffron was.

"Come on Jory," she called back to him, still clutching onto his hand. She feared that he might get either lost, walk slowly, or sneak back into the castle if she did keep a hold on him. She had basically dragged him out of lunch (apparently to the disapproval of Zomial, but she would just deal with that later), rushed him up to Ravenclaw tower, and then out to the grounds. At least it was late and he had had a chance to properly wake up. Grinning back, she continued to drag him along. He never seemed to mind, and even if he did she wasn't too worried. He was always so forgiving.

Things were going so well with Zomial lately that her happiness couldn't help but flood over into other parts of her life. She was practically bouncing as she moved, occasionally adjusting the small backpack slung over her shoulder. It's contents, however, were not books. She hadn't told Jory exactly what they were doing, and she didn't intend to let the cat out of the bag until it absolutely had to. Or in other words, when she had found the right patch of snow.

Looking back at the castle, it was clear they were nearing the farthest reaches of the ground, not to mention that everything didn't seem quite as tidy as everywhere else. This part of the grounds wasn't really frequented and Saffron thought it was a perfect place for her plans (which are still yet to be disclosed). Stopping suddenly, she dropped Jory's hand and turned to him. "Here were are!" she said brightly, pulling the nap sack off her back and setting it lightly to the ground.
