Was Avis happiest in her comfy tartan jammies? Well, she certainly felt that it was a possibility. She was stretched out on the couch closest to the record player, listening to an ancient Ella Fitzgerald record she found in her trunk. Perhaps from her mum, who was very much into the old muggle jazz scene. She looked silly, peering down at her journal, grinning ear to ear.
She turned the pages, looking at a photograph pasted in of her best friend. She wondered if she could charm it to move or smile or something. So the poster in her room didn't work as well, and was still telling her to snog someone or die unhappy and alone, but perhaps this would.
Pointing her wand to it, she recited the charm and saw if it worked.
"I love you too, Abernathy," the photograph said to her in a deep voice, and smiled.
Avis sighed, satisfied. Thus, life was good again. She needed it to be, too. The song playing on the record player was slow and comfortable, saying something about bees and clams and Boston Beans falling in love or something weird like that.
"Well it's not like THAT," she said aloud, mostly to the photograph.
