Week Name/Date/Time: 'The Season Begins' / Monday, 28 November / 12:02 PM
Location: Great Hall
Open To: Anyone!
Currently Involving: Niamh, Jaci

Niamh had rushed to get up and leave when study hall ended to use the girls' room, cramming her things into her bag haphazardly and dashing out the door. How anyone expected a little girl to sit through so many hours without using the loo was beyond her! If they were going to let you drink as much pumpkin juice as you wanted with breakfast, then they should let you leave study hall for a quick trip to the loo every once in a while.

Finally returning to the Great Hall for lunch, she rushed through the doors with her bag slung awkwardly across her shoulder because she was rather hungry and didn't want to miss out on the first servings.

Just as she stepped inside, her tattered bag gave up the ghost and ripped open, scattering her things all over the floor around her. She groaned and sank to her knees to gather it all, though she knew her bag wouldn't hold anything now. She grasped at things, pulling them to her, desperately trying to collect everything to her chest long enough to make it to the Ravenclaw table, but it was no use.

She simply carried too many things wherever she went. A multitude of textbooks, quills, pens, parchment, pencils and her sketchpad, loose pages falling out of it, were all over the ground and the minute she managed to pick up a few things, reaching for the next, it would all fall again.

She realized it was dangerous for a girl her size to be sitting on this exact patch of floor when there was a castle full of hungry teenagers on one side, and tables laden with food on the other. She wanted to cry, but she refused to do so.

Instead, she continued to fruitlessly try and gather her things, while simultaneously dragging everything with her inch by inch toward the Ravenclaw table. At this rate, she'd make it to her table just in time to have everyone climbing over her on their way back out and absolutely no food left for her.

Bugger. Today just wasn't her day, was it? She groaned again.
