After Tuesday's snow storm, Wednesday looked perfectly white and majestic. Snow hung off the trees and littered the grounds, and the air -although chilly- was nice and refreshing. The sun was out - partly hidden by the clouds rolling by - and it was simply a lovely afternoon.
Any excuse for Jackie to go outside was acceptable (though she would have kept the party indoors if it were raining or snowing, because no one liked soggy food), and she busied herself tossing streamers into some of the trees and setting up a table (that she had dragged out of the castle - shh!) with all the goodies she and Sean had been working on hours earlier. She knew Keiichi would wander outside eventually as he couldn't keep himself cooped up in the Hospital Wing forever, right? So, she hoped to surprise him with this little party.
With a banner that said 'Happy Birthday, Keiichi!', she pulled out her wand and tried to cast a spell to tie it to one of the tree's lower branches. She gazed critically at her own work, biting her lip, deciding whether or not to move it to the left and further up. Of course, her friends probably wouldn't care, but she wanted everything to be nice.
