Coming down from the Owlery Kamil had actually just sent his mother back an owl. He had just heard that his home was no longer in France, but in England. Bloody England because his mother was being transferred to ruddy St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maldies and Injuries.

Approaching a small secluded hallway from the Owlery in a fowl mood, Kamil heard a slight 'thud' and items falling out of a bag. Looking down, he saw a letter land at his feet, and he picked it up, scanning it suspiciously. So, he did what any honest person would do: he pocketed it he found the owner.

To his surprise though, it was a Miss Ainsleigh Barr. So he bent down to help her pick up her belongings. While in the process he said, "Uh -- I think you dropped this too," and he handed over the letter.

Ainsleigh glanced up when she saw someone help pick up her things. Recognising Kamil from the common room, she smiled. Then she saw what he was holding out to her.

"My letter!" She exclaimed, joyfully. "Thank you! It's to my little brother. He likes getting owls and he just passed an important test so I...sorry, you probably don't want to hear all that. I'm just glad you found it. I thought I'd lost it." She grinned. "I'm Ainsleigh, by the way. I don't think we've met properly, but I've seen you in the common room."

Hearing about Ainsleigh's little brother was a bit awkward for Kamil. He barely knew her, yet she was saying so much.

"I take it you're not muggleborn then?" Smiling, Kamil stood up, and said, "I've seen you around school, I'm Kamil; Kamil Drozd." After saying so, he politely offered Ainsleigh a hand to help her stand up.

Ainsleigh had a feeling she'd made Kamil uncomfortable by rambling about her brother like that. It was an unfortunate habit she had - talking too much.

"No, I am muggleborn. That's why Cam likes getting owls so much. It's a novelty." She grinned proudly as she stuffed the last of her belongings back in her bag. Smiling, she took his hand and stood up. "Thank you, you're very polite. Drozd did you say? You're Matt's brother?"
