It was Monday morning and she didn't have anything at all today except study hall. Most of her homework was already finished, as well. She'd tried to sleep in, but hadn't wanted to miss breakfast, so that hadn't gone well. When she'd returned to the tower, she hadn't known what to do with herself. The cold rain outside made her tree climbing less than ideal, but all her friends seemed to be busy. At last an idea had struck her. When in doubt and feeling bored, she could always draw!
She'd rushed up to her dormitory and grabbed her sketchpad and things then made her way back down to the all but empty common room. She'd glanced around, then decided on one of the couches near the fire. She didn't get to sit there often thanks to the older students always claiming them, but today they all seemed to have classes or better places to be, so the warm, cozy places were free.
She sat down and began to doodle. She didn't know what she wanted to draw at all today. She frowned down at the paper for a moment, then slowly began to attempt a background. She could always draw a tree and then decide who or what to put in front of it as she went. She happily lost herself in the warmth of the room and the concentration on her drawing, not noticing anyone else in the room for the moment.
