Ronnie just finished cleaning up the classroom from the last class of the day, and took to wandering the halls with a small smile on her face.
Halloween had always been her favourite holiday -- the costumes, the candy, the chilly bite to the air; it was one of those feelings that couldn't be described other than 'Halloween'. It aws impossible to put a feeling like 'happy' or 'excited' to something that included so much. The sound of crunching leaves, the taste of cider, the smell of candles burning inside freshly carved pumpkins.
It was this last thought that made her stop in her tracks, grin twisting into something more devious. Hagrid usually brought in the huge pumpkins for the feast, giving half to the House Elves for some of the treats and gutting the rest to float around the hall, candles inside. But hardly any of them had properly carved faces!
Ronnie decided to fix that this year, and with determined footsteps made her way down the corridor toward the exit, ready to pay a visit to the pumpkin patch and fetch a few. And if she met someone along the way, that'd just be even better!
