So Herbology hadn't been a complete waste of time, he supposed. He'd been partnered up with that absolute minx Inga from Slytherin and spent the entirety of class studying her 'stems.' Merlin, did that girl have a pair or what? Of course, she didn't appreciate the obvious ogling and had dumped soil down his robes, and it took more than one or two Scourgifies to get himself cleaned up. But it was worth it, really.
Sly strolled out of the Greenhouses feeling pretty content with himself for the moment, not thinking any deep thoughts and determined to stay that way for as long as possible. It was a fair evening, just now five, and although it was chilly and dark, there was no rain in sight for once. Sly stood for a moment among a maze of hedges watching the grey clouds roll in like sentinels across the brooding sky, hands in his pockets and thoughtful after all. Was that lightning off in the distance?
He heard a classmate call to him from a few paces ahead, and he waved, saying he'd be in after a bit. He could do with some fresh air. And so he set to walking along the low hedges in the courtyard, school back knocking against his hip in synch with the slow pace.
