Julian knew that there would repercussions be from his pranking with Ming. Or at least he had until just recently. He could've sworn he was in the clear; after all, it had been nearly forever since the snorting madness. Unfortunately for him, Jackie had mentioned she wanted to talk to him about Ming. Jackie hardly ever talked to him (she was always busy, he assured himself), so certainly the trouble he had instigated was going to be the topic of conversation. Julian sighed, half expecting the bloody sod to be beat out of him when she finally came out of the common room.
He had been waiting around, pacing back and forth, outside the common room. She had to come out eventually, after all. Actually, she did not have to. For all he knew, she could've been in bed, and he would be out here until curfew. Julian had always put a lot of faith in other people, and he fully expected for her to greet him soon enough. With his hands in his pockets, he watched the floor, considering how many paces it would take to actually wear a ditch in the floor. Looking at his watch, he figured it wouldn't be much longer before there was a dip in the floor.
"Jackieeee," he called, obviously not to her. The Fat Lady had been badgering him, and he hadn't, until then, responded. "Oh! Give it a rest. I'm waiting for a girl. I'm not just snooping around." When the fat lady mentioned a girl friend, Julian turned seven shades of scarlet and scowled. "No, I'm not waiting for her." Though, he figured he'd be waiting outside this common room for her soon enough.
