Ever since he had written in that conflab book, and it had written back (Julian wasn't really sure about that nonsense, it seemed a little fishy), thoughts had been literally bounding around his head. Every so often one would hit him in the mouth, and he would exclaim it loudly in the common room. Some of the younger Hufflepuffs were slightly frightened when he yelled out things like "I EXPECT SHE'LL SLAP ME!". So, standing outside of the great hall, he was nearly dancing around in place he was so jittery. With his luck, she'd come out and ask him what was up. He wouldn't even be able to introduce the idea before he said it; he could never lie to Lexi, especially by saying nothing was up.
This was nearly the second time he had skipped study hall this year, but the teachers hardly missed him. Actually, he wasn't even sure if they knew he was gone. Considering he never really talked, and usually sat at the back of the class writing up new potions, he figured his absence wasn't known. Plus, there were more important things than study hall. He hadn't been able to catch Lexi before breakfast, (even though he now knew where the Gryffindor common room was), so he figured after breakfast was the only feasible options. He had class for the rest of the day after this, anyway.
Shifting his weight from foot to foot, Julian peered inside the doors eagerly. Time never seems to pass quite as slowly as when you're waiting for something, he realized. Maybe if he calmed down a bit, but that didn't seem to be an option. He had been very hyper since he had met Tze-Ming, and there was weight on his shoulders. "Where are you Lexi."
