Week Name/Date/Time: 'Promises and Plans'/Saturday, 15 Oct/12:40 pm
Location: Grounds, by the lake
Open to: TEH FAB FOUR. I mean Erik, Juhi, Phil, and Clover!
Currently involving: Clover + them other three, hee.

Clover trudged down to the lake with a large, fuzzy blanket rolled up under her arm, a basket full of pastries and desserts, and thermos of tea balanced carefully in between it all. A picnic with Juhi would be much more lighthearted than their earlier rendezvous in the Arithmancy classroom, and she looked forward to just relaxing. All the angsting they had done earlier had worn her out.

She assumed it would just be the two of them, since Juhi had said she would bring the main course foods, sandwich meat, bread, and the like. And it was a perfectly brilliant day, just perfect for a spontaneous picnic! The only clouds in the pristine blue were small and puffy like harmless cottonballs, and they scudded across the sky along a tranquil breeze. There weren't many days left in the term like this -- soon it would be too cold. Foliage was already falling all around in reds and golds and deep siennas as the trees prepared for winter. As Clover passed under the shade of a particularly monstrous oak, she thought it might be fun to have a romp in the piles of leaves. But eating shall come first, her stomach reminded her with a rumble!

The royal blue blanket was spread under the protection of that very oak tree, as it was perched just on the shore of the lake and had a very agreeable view. Clover set out the basket and thermos, then seated herself in one corner of the blanket to wait for her mate. The placid wind sifted through her curls, drawing them playfully over her face until she had to tuck them behind her ear to keep from obstructing her sight of the lake and all its splendor.
