The corridors were quite deserted this part of the castle. This was what Avery had found out when she had wondered over here on the cool Friday evening, feeling a little under the weather. She had, again, not seen Soren for a whole week, and so much had happened since then. With the nosey reporter, Rita Skeeter around, she supposed things were just bound to get out of hand, sooner or later.
What she had not expected to hear was that Soren had been caught with Zoe and Trefor had also been involved. In her mind she knew that it was just Skeeter trying to stir up some trouble, or rumours, so that things would get more interesting, but knowing that didn't do much to keep her heart from aching.
She rounded the corner on the fifth floor before seeing the large wooden door, indicating that she was, indeed, back to where they were the previous week. Nothing had happen back then, they had merely stepped in for a moment, for Avery to take a look, and were interrupted by Moaning Myrtle appearing from nowhere. She had been so surprised that she had completely forgotten about the DA and Jack.
Running a finger along the latch, Avery stopped and listened. Were those footsteps she heard?
