Kiley still had a little while before she had to attend her Study Hall, but she was up and awake anyway, so she figured she may as well utilize that time. With that in mind she had headed down to the library -- to do some studying, that was the first thought, but after about twenty minutes or so of that, she'd decided to put her text books aside.
She was sitting in a corner of the library now, deeply enthralled in a novel. Shop Gods, by Ellis Graveworthy -- not her favorite of the late author's work, surely, but as he was her favorite author, still quite high on her list for pleasure reading. She turned a page, shifting to make herself more comfortable, eyes flicking over the words in quick succession.
