Well, he was near starving. And all the Gryffs did it. Of course, this reasoning wasn't exactly getting him anywhere, as Sebastian stood staring mournfully at the portrait of a bowl of fruit. He shouldn't even know this really. If they were allowed to frequent the kitchens you'd think someone would have told them. Dumbledore. At the Sorting Ceremony. With his off subject ancedotes surely he'd have included an "Oh, and help yourselves to food anytime! Right off the entrance hall, 5th painting on the left, tickle the pear. Ta!"
But alas no. Which was why he was standing here, getting increasingly faint with every minute, while house elves waited with platters on the other side of that painting. Platters upon platters, most likely. He made a small dying noise and cautiously reached out to the pear, head swiping around to make sure there were no onlookers.
