Hi Shann,
the majority of the judges were of the favour to deny your appeal.
While your outspokenness and brashness definitely fits more in Gryffindor than in Hufflepuff, the judges still weren't very convinced and thought you were being overexuberent to underline your Gryffindor traits. A majority of your Gryffindor traits: stubbornness, outspokenness, valuing action over words, boldness, courage, being spontaneous, for example can be seen as a Hufflepuff as well.
Was not Zacharias Smith so flippant? Wasn't Cedric bold and courageous? Wasn't Tonks outspoken, spontaneous and one for action? Yeah. Being stubborn is actually a Hufflepuff trait.

You say you want to study law for "activist purposes", being an activist can be a Hufflepuff trait as well. (re: Tonks, Ernie, Helga Hufflepuff) You're very open and accepting of people: "I used to be so picky and judgmental. It was ridiculous. Now I have a lot more friends and all of them are wonderful people." You do "suffer" under the common misconception that a Hufflepuff is a cute, rainbow ( ... )
