Welcome to yet another term at hih_animagusFor a while, we've run Animagus slightly anarchically and will probably continue to do that to a large degree if I'm going to be honest, but for the start of this term we would really like to hear some of your opinions. :D

I've pondered about this as well, and the thing is if we'd put the other votes public, the animagi-to-be will find something they think will fit them better ("the grass is green on the other side") and it will become a big discussion on WHY they can't have THAT animagus, etc.,
Another thing is, in canon, I think the animagi choice is restrictive. Wizards need (or are known) to choose an animagus that reflects them. Now, we're in the real world and turning into animagus is only theory so we won't give this as much thought as a wizard would. People would be sprouting crazy things left and right (Like Peter Pettigrew IRL would maybe want to be a roaring lion even if this wouldn't fit). In our community the restrictive element is the choice of the mods.
