Animagus Application
Welcome to the application post for the Animagus community at HiH! If you've been looking for an animal alter-ego that fits your personality, you've come to the right place, my friend. This post includes the answer to your burning questions and it contains the application you need to fill out to become a registered Animagus.

Please read the instructions carefully before filling out your application!

Before You Apply
Make sure that you're a member of both hogwartsishome and your house's common room. You do not need to be a member of hih_animagus, although we encourage you to join.

Most importantly, you need your own copies of The Standard Book of Spells, volumes 1 through 3.

How the Process Works
Once you have filled out the application below, it will enter the queue. The moderators will post one batch of applications around the 15th of every month. These batches may include everything between 2 and 6 applications, depending on the number of applicants.

When your application is up, a moderator will assign you a number and this number will be your Animagus registration number. Your application will be voted on and further directions will be given after the vote, so be sure to check hih_animagus for updates.

How to Fill Out Your Application
To fill out the application, copy the code in the textarea below and paste it into a comment to this post. Fill it out as thoroughly as you can. Since other members will be trying to match you with an animal, it's important that you give as much information as you can. There are a lot of animals under the sun!

When you have answered every question, make sure the textarea html tags above and below are still there. Many people will exceed the amount of characters allowed for a comment (Please do! Elaborate as much as you can, and take as many comments as you need!). To solve this, you can divide your comment into as many comments as you need. Remember to add the textarea tags at the beginning and end of your posts.

Note: Your application should appear in a textarea with the coding visible, such as the one below. If it doesn't, you need to check your textarea tags.

You can only do this if you've had your form for a minimum of 6 months. If you want to reapply, you need to post a minimum 200 word essay to the <a href="/read/user/animagusmod/4805">essay submission post</a> saying why you don't feel connected to your animal anymore. When this has been approved, you may post a new application to the queue. When you've gotten your 4 alternatives, you can choose one of them or keep your old one. Consider this carefully, because you can only reapply once every six months.
