You know what's fun? Human emotion. It's such a fragile thing. There are so many ways to break a person down totally, utterly, and completely. To leave them sobbing and destroyed not only physically, but mentally.
The easiest way to to this, of course, being physical torture. There's nothing quite like the slow burn of a hot iron on flesh to get someone to spill their secrets. Can you even start to imagine your fingernails being pulled off one by one? Then, each of your fingers being broken? The snap and the crunch of bone as it splinters; the way each finger is now deformed and will forever be like that. Of course, why stop with merely breaking them when you can just cut them off? It was (and still possibly is, in some worlds) a regular practice as punishment for thieves. Of course, only on the ones that got caught, but that's another story.
One of my preferred forms is, of course, using electrical current. You see, it hurts when you're electrocuted. You will probably end up clenching your jaw and lose several teeth, while bolts of pain shoot through your body. Your body will jerk and spasm as your nerves go haywire, maybe even scream if you can find the breath.
Though the screaming might be good to save for the rack. Each turn of the crank stretches you out more and more--until your shoulders dislocate, both of them, of course, and then it's only a few more cranks before your skin starts to rip and tear, like the seams on a garment. Finally, after a few more turns, they're ripped off completely. Totally detached from your body. that's when the screaming is the best. That look of sheer and utter terror is absolutely marvelous.
Hmm. Though as for non-physical, there's many forms of that. That look of sadness and heartbreak is absolutely priceless. You would know, wouldn't you Namine? You're a very good heartbreaker. Build them up, make them want to rescue you. Make them believe you're the only one in their lives; the one that needs saving. Trick their heart into thinking that you're the only one there...the only one that's ever been there. It's just so lovely when you break their hearts completely. Just shatter them like a piece of glass. Like that Replica...just watching you break his heart was an excellent show. He was so heartbroken he ceased to even function. That completely dead look on his face; what a treat! And Sora~ Oh that look of pain when he found out you weren't who you said you were. That it wasn't really you he was trying to rescue; that you were only a witch that had planted those things into his mind.
