I know that the QAF fandom is all a buzz over the new interview by one of our fellow fans. First I think it's awesome that she had the chance to actually talk to Cowlip, so I applaud her and her interview. However not to rain on anyone's parade, but here is a tip for Cowlip, you are in charge of the show and have the ability to affect what is

The thing that pisses me off about Cowlip is that this goes against everything they said in the following months after the show. It also make their writers look really bad at the last QAF con in Toronto. When they talked about the friendship love and self love Vs. romantic love. They said that Brian and Justin were done. Cowlip said that Brian and Justin were done so why now the change of heart? It makes no sense to me.
Much like how Randy had to break up with Simon before he could once again embrace the show that paid his bills. I mean can't someone please be honest about things just once.

realize that CowLip is once again rewriting history. Much
of what they say contradicts what they said in 2005, as
well as what some of the writers said at the convention
and also in other conversations. Remember Cow and/or Lip
telling fans they were too wrapped up in B&J and that they
weren't the be-all and end-all? Or that "some" of the the
"boys" wouldn't make it to become "men" -- i.e., Brian?
Or that the REAL star of the show wasn't Brian, or Justin,
or even Michael, but Babylon? And that's why the survival
of Babylon is more important than any specific relationship,
which was the whole rationale for the Brandon/Jason ending
that was shot but never shown, thankfully.
So I'm glad people are happy, but it doesn't change the bad
taste it left for me after 513.

I read that bunch of apologist rubbish and felt phyically ill.
What a load!
If they'd really wanted to acknowledge that Brian and Justin were always going to be in each others' lives, why not have them dancing together at the reopening of Babylon?
Surely that's an event Justin would have come home for. Even if just to make a statement about not letting the bastards who bombed the place win.
All that interview did was stir up again all the feelings of disgust and betrayal I felt over the whole of S5 (and most of S4 come to that).
Glad I'm not the only one who felt that way.
Oh, and ITA about the Pink Posse arc, too.

THIS.
And that is my biggest peeve about the arc. Repressed anger morphing into vigilantism, yeah, I'm good with that, it's how it often starts, after all. But Brian not even saying, "Hey, do what you want, but don't ever bring a gun into my house, where MY SON visits", that I didn't get. Almost makes you wish they had gone there, doesn't it? God knows, we hear about kids getting hold of their parents' firearms all the time. That would have sent a powerful message.
I no longer have an issue with the way they left things open. I go on, based on my interpretation of what happened.
"And they fucked happily ever after. The Beginning."

Seriously, thanks for posting a counterpoint. Both you and Gaedhal have posted interesting rebuttals, and I like reading from all sides. Keeps the conversation alive, you know?
