im not going to participate in this discussion, but i do think brian that you wont be able to change the views of anyone that you know on lj. You just won't, it's not going to happen. At first I wasn't sure if you were trying to prove your point, or just putting something out there for peopel to talk about, but then i noticed your title. Although i do like the story, however macabre-oriented it is. :)

i respect your opinion entirely but you can't expect sentimentalities like wht you just wrote to change someone's opinion. to truly determine the moralities of abortion one must look at it from a medical standpoint. according to many doctors, embryos in the 1st trimester are not considered living, brain development is all non-existant, and its still a bundle of cells. i am pro-choice because i trust these doctors more then religious activists. also, i understand the value of life, but abortion does have its positive effects. the amount of orphans or abandoned children is tremendous, and many abortions exist from accidental impregnations in not the nicest areas of the u.s. how many of aborted babies have preexisting drug addictions? i cannot say, but i stil stand by my opinion. and according to roe. v. wade, abortion is still legal, so some people must support it. --> dan! lol
i dont really understand exactly what this meant but im guessing it was something mediforical? well...ok it makes me mad but i know that i cant change ur mind period but especially not by being pissed about it. so whatever. but ok...so you may think abortion is wrong, and thats totally fine. however the question is really should you have a right to inflict your beliefs about this on all the pregnant teenage girls out there, or any couples who arent ready to have a child. even if you dont support abortion, it should still be a choice between a mother and her doctor (and a father if he is around and not an abandon-er). your opionion, which is somewhat of a religious one, is your opinion and shouldnt be made part of federal policy. abortion shouldnt necessarily be encouraged, but it has to be an option. it has to. this is a free religion country and therefore abortion is something we should have our own choice about. also id just like to point out...if youre so against abortion what would you say to a girl who gets raped and

Give me a bit of time (as I'm rather busy now) and I'll rewrite that as pro-choice. Watch me. Your own words will be fed back to you with a rusty spork. -Rebecca
