Zombie Joe Dick was almost a half hour late to his audition, but it wasn't really his fault this time. The transit system discriminated against the dead.

"You look familiar," Bruce commented.

"nnNNNnrgh," said Joe.

"Hm, nope. Haven't seen that one."

Joe wished he could still articulate things other than "braaaaaaains" so he could inform Bruce he was calling his movie "Pocketpool" in his mind. Bruce'd probably laugh.

Fed up at last with her country's financial woes, our heroine had snuck aboard a freighter bound for Canada. ...Unfortunately, due to some minor legal issues, the freighter was turned away at port and when it finally made land, it was Mexican soil.

Still, a cunning escape from the ship's hold and a brief wander through the desert later, unhurt knew she had been brought here by the hand of fate.
