It's true that poor Sakura does get singled out the most for bashing by readers, so much so that I'm half tempted to actually look into this scientifically within a psychosociocultural point of view. It's easy to point out that Sakura is canonically depicted inconsistently and in extremes, and that all the major characters have major weaknesses, but it's fascinating that Sakura is the only character to receive such a hostile reaction from readers. Why people, why? My guess, is that in comparison to Hinata, Sakura is seen to have the potential to move past her weaknesses and doesn't. But that still doesn't account for the intensity of the negativity towards Sakura, which suggests that haters are attributing much more to this particular character that may reflect dissatisfaction with societal messages about roles as a whole.
