So. I've spent the past month basically buried in Chloe/Oliver fanfiction, but this past week has caused an abrupt shift in my fandom addiction.

We've had two back-to-back holidays which I (and my family) spent watching all 3 seasons of Merlin. And boy, do we wish for a 4th season already

Everything you said, ditto. Merlin has some plot issues and is weak in many respects, but the characters are so brilliant, I had to fall in love with it. Arthur is my favorite, and I *almost* can't explain why. I ussually HATE arrogant characters, but there is something very sweet, endearing, and fragile about Arthur. I do love characters that are better than they act, and that is Arthur.

I completely agree! I love the way his personality shifts from "spoiled prat" and "honourable knight". It also doesn't hurt that he's cute... not to mention I adore his voice. Whenever he speaks to encourage his men before a battle, it makes me want to take up a sword and fight right beside them. :P

I was surprised that Arthur emerged as my favorite. He's so not my type. But he has layers. I love layers. Esspecially when a character is good at the core. As Arthur is.
