Not a bad series... that particular title is a SciFi book club compilation of about three volumes. But it's about a guy that is otherwise unremarkable, being a janitor and okay guitar player, getting plucked into a different world because apparently "sanitation engineer" is good enough for the spell the wizard was working.

Interesting series, fun, not too weighty, but good.

And everyone is an Alan Dean Foster fan, they just don't know it; the man has pissed in so many different universes and worlds you just know that he'll be doing the novelization of most movies, even the ones that are based on original works. (Truthfully, I'm surprised he didn't snag the movie novelization of Lord of the Rings.)
