So, if you've read my journal at all the past week or so, y'know that I've had a jolt from an unexpected direction. High school... and no, not any underage jailbait crap either! (I swear, people's minds ( Read more... )

Yeah, I just don't go away! =) Seriously, though - my oldest friend (& by that I don't mean to harp on your age, jsut that yes, it's been 12 years)! Strange though sometimes the people that find us on the internet are the last people we'd ever want to talk to (happening to me a lot lately).

Awww. How sweeeeeeeeeet. Ok, time to vomit now.

Seriously, I was showing my yearbook to a friend, laughing at the big hair, yada yada yada. Hey, shoot Tara a line for me and tell her I said "Hellllew". ;-)

Yes, parallel interests... In high school, you can't exactly jump up and say, "Hi, I'm a Witch who wants as many tattoos as possible, enjoys being handcuffed and spanked, watching hentai, am looking for a Master, and who thinks vampires are keen."

No, no, no. It's hard enough growing up without adding to the perceived "weirdness". Considering I grew up in a Pagan household, with only my dad, and preferred to sit quietly in the library and write or read about sex or demons, I was already enough of an outcast.

Then you move beyond high school and find a whole world of people who share your interests and think, "This life thing is just starting to get good..."

If you throw up, clean it up nicely. Although it would be humorous to point out so I can say "see? my blog is indeed touching!"
I'll smack Tara upside the email with a what what for ya.
Y'know, by high school I really wasn't talking to a lot of people, and not saying a lot of what went on in my head. Outside of BBSes, that is. I think, somewhere between my second grade teacher's reaction to "I want to be an assassin when I grow up" and Norman's trying to remove my hand in 6thish grade to prove I was an android, I learned it's better to be quietly ostracized by the majority than actively ridiculed. Not that it didn't happen from time to time...
The world is full of diverse people, indeed.
