How to run hidejournal 0.3. (Slanted towards Windows users)

Make sure you're not using tags.

Because HideJournal was written before the introduction of tags to LiveJournal, it will strip tags from entries. You should expect to have to back them up and restore them by hand if you want to use the current release of HideJournal.
Download java

any updates on this problem? I'm in the same boat as everyone else. I actually got it to work once, hid 4 or so entries, but no luck since and I've tried every release.

Tried that, it ran for a while, then hung up somewhere in entries for 2003, and won't work anymore.

I'm having the exact same problem. I've read this entire thread; yes, I have the newest version, yes, I changed the encoding to "Western European," etc ... I don't seem to see a solution to this issue anywhere. Have there been any updates/fixes that I haven't found in this thread?
