Hopefully it'll get better? I wish I could give you some advice but I've never lived in Nagoya (or Japan for that matter). Maybe next time, if you have time, go to a little cafe and have a cup of tea? always makes my day better, anyway. x)
Things tend to get better, but I feel that compared to my peers, and those more experienced than me, that I don't know how to handle money and that I will have to fail several times before my life 'gets going' in order to get it right. And failing overseas is not a comfortable feeling because I want to be able to handle myself and my finances on my own. I'm 24. I don't want to run back to my folks and ask for help. And it seems that all over the world, finances are hard. Price is higher than income. I have to move because my current town can't afford three teachers. So...I know it's just not me who's in a pinch (or worse) but I thought I knew better than to let myself get backed into a corner like this.
We'll probably go to some coffee shop. Tea does help but when I have to pay for it...see, I'm already freaking out.
Out of curiousity--I was under the impression for some reason the JPY was increasing because of this so-called crisis? Although I suppose that still isn't good for you, especially if you're forced to move.
I think it's okay to ask for help, but not for money, if that's the way it makes you feel. Although on the other hand, a ton of people still get a little help now and then. it's not uncommon.
(you posted this twice so I just deleted one of them. XD;)
What do you mean by increasing? If you mean in exchange rate, then yes, the yen is worth more than the dollar. But the yen does not go as far as the dollar does. Back in the States, I could spend $20 on groceries that would last me a week or two. Here in Japan, that lasts me 2-3 days. I don't eat like a pig, but the fact of the matter is that none of their food is cheap. Even when on sale. So you either have to eat crap (which isn't cheap) or wait for sales and shop for food every 2 or 3 days. Travel isn't cheap. Nothing here is cheap, and anybody who says it is, needs to be shot. The move...is necessary to remain employed but it will leave me with very little to subsist on until my next paycheck and paychecks are monthly.
I have a feeling all they would tell me is to stop doing what I know I need to stop doing, which would only frustrate me as it doesn't fix the situation and would make me feel even worse.
I'm a hardcore fan of his, so I'm willing to spend money for him. If you didn't want to do the same, you should have told me. ^^;;; I won't hold it against you, cuz I can understand how you feel!
Money is ALWAYS and issue in Japan, and it is annoying, but you just have to learn how to spend wisely and cut down on certain things (especially mobile sites. The fees will eat you alive!).
Well I think he's cool so I thought why not, and the stamps on the card are pretty awesome. I also don't like to go around and not do what my friends are doing. I like to do it with them. I can't see myself standing around waiting for you to go around the building, getting stamps and ridding the ferris wheel. It was a matter of "on one level I will regret spending the money to do this, but on the other I will regret standing around waiting for you and would thus regret feeling like I wasted time." So it was fun to go around with YOU getting the things and wondering what this or that has to do with Gackt or pachinko, but on the other I feel they make the fans waste their money to get a poster. You shouldn't have to ride the damn wheel to get it. If you already paid for everything else...but that's me
( ... )
I love Yoshiki And XJapan soo any thing related to them is worth it to me. but yeah i can see why it can be frustrating when ya cant figure the damn phone net out. and yeah those gackt things usually are a waste of time*not a fan if ya can tell*( no offence if ya accually like the guy).
Hahahaha yeah that's how I feel too, though I don't buy EVERYTHING. Just things I feel that are worth the money I spent on it or that I know I will get a lot of use out of. Well the directions weren't very clear and I at least have it all figured out NOW but it's got me so pissed with mobile internet I never want to touch it again. It was seriously too much for a 'free' poster, in which you can barely see Gackt anyway. If I'm gonna spend time collecting stamps and money to get this 'free' poster then he better be naked with real gold nipple clamps and bondage chords going on in that poster. And he should have signed it too. >/
Well he might have had nothing to do with it and the pachinko company could have decided to do it. Either way, I wish it had been more rewarding - I'm sure some Japanese fans have to feel the same way. =/
