They have stinging nettles in London!

PS. Do you want a Lucksmiths CD? I got it at the studios today, but it's a bit more "pretty indy guitar pop" than my tastes.

They actually exist, not some fictional creation of Enid Blyton or cottaging tales. Like foxes!

I used to like the Lucksmiths. I saw them play when I was 18 and bought there cd but haven't followed them since. Sure, I'll have it if you want it off yr hands. But don't send it over - stash it away :)

This might just be the best entry ever written. You? So cute.

What do they look like?

A sweet balm to my stinging leg, my dear!

They look ... weedy. A bit like a thistle in that they grow up and out and have purply flowers and look kind of fuzzy. They're not impressive and the flowers look like they'd stink if you crushed them. If they were human they'd be the forgettable thirty-ish man in a dirty raincoat.

Or, if you prefer objectivity, they look like this.

And here I was thinking they were insects; but no, flora.

For real? I thought they were a European thing, but apparently you have them in the States.

If we do, I've never come across them. Plain nettles yes. They cling to your socks. Or maybe I'm thinking of brambles...
