Let's not lie to ourselves- Harry Potter has been everyone's crack at some point or another. (Okay, not *everyone,* but a substantial number of people. Myself included ( Read more... )

OMG FIRST OFF! I had a dream last night that you died in a freak accident after being kidnapped! You were trying to escape through a window in a bathroom but one of the kidnappers pulled your leg back down and you fell and cracked your skull open on the bathtub! T_____T There were Death Notes and mafia people and I think I was dead too, but still alive somehow. IT WAS SUCH A CREEPY AND DEPRESSING DREAM. ;o;

Okay, so, moving on. NO FAIR THAT YOU HAVE A BRITISH COPY OF A HARRY POTTER BOOK!! Omg. *envy* And I don't think HP existed when you were six... or did it? *has no idea exactly when they first came out* My third grade teacher was the one who opened my eyes to the series. I hated the name "Harry Potter" at first and thought the book ws for sure going to be lame, but. That changed. xD WE ARE THE HARRY POTTER GENERATION! PH34R!!

I feel like I should say something deep in reply to your thoughts and analysis, but I honestly am not feeling very deep right now. So I will content myself with: PUPPY LOVE FOREVER! IT'S SO CANON! ♥

YOU DARE BETRAY HARRY POTTER!!!!?????

I'm just kidding. The first three books were probably the best even without the character development. But think about it. How much does your personality change when you're 10? Got a give Rowling a break. As for Harry becoming emo... what 14/15 year old boy hasn't gone emo? Seriously.

I think it's good that Snape went bad. It means that no one can trust him and that he'll eventually help the good guys again. Ugh, good vs evil gets so boring.

I wish I had a British copy of HP. How sweet would it be to read the whole series with a British accent?

I love the first three specifically because Rowling didn't develop the three main characters' personalities. I'm not sure I like how she views young teens/teens, so without that obstacle in the way, I feel like I enjoyed the first three books more.

As for Snape, I agree that his "going bad" is ultimately better for the overall storyline. And the good and evil thing? As far as basic plot goes, yes, it is very Good Guys Good, Bad Guys Bad, but there is a lot of subtly and complexity in the minor characters, (especially the adults. *coughSiriusandRemuscough* So once that main plot gets boring, I turn to the minor characters for some relief!

And as for Puppyshipping, as I just mentioned it; OH EM GEE! The POA movie is like... THE most shippy movie I've ever seen. I watched it today with Sid, and probably once every three seconds I was like "Oh look, there's a cute [insert pairing here] moment." It's like an orgy of friendship! @__@

And the British versions aren't actually all that different. Or at least the second one isn't. I want to ( ... )

I don't like Harry. I always found him weak and annoying, complaining about everything and rushing into situations he knew nothing about. He should've been Slytherin...

Snape was always my hero, but I didn't quite see traitor!Snape coming either... But I was kind of disappointed. The title, half-blood prince made me expect something really big, and it was just about Snape's heritage?

And seriously, how could Dumbledore just die so easily like that? (My brother had this crazy idea that Dumbeldore turned into a white bumblebee and flew off, simply because Dumbledore means white bumblebee.)

RemusSirius is canon. Has to be. They were young when Glam hit the UK.
