Seriously. Who'd've thought that all it would take to place in a costume contest would be some kickass props, some (very) last minute scene planning in the line, and artistic assistance and moral support from a transvestite?

Hey, I can so do that! I'm not sure how well Lady Madaleine'll fly all by her lonesome...but that's why I've got months to ponder, right?

Plus, the sextant is just six kinds of awesome. O made better use of it, but I'm not giving it up that easily! I also managed to pick up a compass from the same company at the con...it was a steampunky sort of day.

The contest was amazing, even dehydrated and exhausted. And...and...yeah! I placed!

I forgot it...meh. I literally came home that night, saw it behind the picture that keeps getting put in front of it, and facepalmed. Currently looking for a more visible place to put it, because things on my bedside table apparently have a tendency to morph into background. Live and learn?

I've been hunting pictures of myself in the contest all day...no joy yet, though. Found some pictures taken by people outside the contest, though, and a CD of the pictures taken of me at the photo booth.

I wish you could have to, but...shit happened. None of it your fault. I'm just glad L. Granny was around to put a leash on things. Mom couldn't make it either, after all. I'm looking for videos, if you're interested.
And, hey, think of a skit for next year (when you get a chance)! We got something good here, we gotta run with it!

I do think you would have liked the Queen of Hearts, though...;). He was badass. And the Zombie Girl Scout troop was a thing of horrific, adorable awesomeness.
