Why is a job so hard to find?

Borders didn't even want me to come for an interview.

I applied at FYE yesterday. Filled out my hour long application and turned it in. Then was notified that there would be a drug test...

if it's your first job, try applying somewhere that isn't so commercial. i tried to get a job at barnes & noble for an entire summer once, but i ended up working at a mom-and-pop sort of place. once you have some experience they'll be much more willing to give you something.

i know, I hate writing that I have no experience on the applications.

i can't find any small places! i'm on a search. I would much rather work somewhere smaller
