He's so intelligent! This is a great scene, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. (Also, I've done Gregorian chant throughout college, so I found the key specifications very interesting.) Nicely done!

Hee -- thank you! In my head, he's this theoretical whiz who's descended from a muggle mathematical genius. ;)

Also, how cool about your own Gregorian chanting experiences! I've never done it (though I sing lots of other things), but it sounds like such a fascinating thing to sing.
