You've done such a good job here, Crystal! I love your perspective of what was going on in Marietta's life that made her snitch. Very realistic, and it throws her in a very sympathetic, humane light. I always love seeing minor characters brought to life in fanfic! Great job! =)

Thank you so, so much for these kind words! I have a huge soft spot for Marietta because I think she was treated unfairly in canon. I mean, she was just a kid with a lot of pressure on her. Like Cho says, she's a lovely person who just made a mistake.

Definitely a more sympathetic look at Marietta, which seems spot on -- we only get to see her quite negatively in canon and this reminds us that everyone has their story. (Side note: Alas, poor Marietta!)

Thanks! I love exploring minor characters and twisting canon to find their point of view.

i really like this! you wrote cho like spot on especially this line: . "Harry's the bravest person I know, and I trust him completely. The DA is the only chance we've got of preparing ourselves. Just because Umbridge is older doesn't mean she knows anything. Adults can be awfully thick sometimes, Marietta, I thought you knew that." and, ugh, i can just see her with a confused and concerned but defiant face with this. but also marietta! marietta who always get the short end of the stick in the books -- you did a wonderful job making me feel sympathetic towards her and really explaining why she might be inclined to tell. i especially love how she tries to justify it to herself. well done :)
