I’m probably way too fascinated with the friendship between Peter and Remus.

I also love seeing Peter as the observer. And Slughorn handing him Hufflepuff colors, haha! That's so appropriate. I'm sure Slughorn never even knew his name. Although, I think Peter must have been decent at Potions, don't you? He DID manage that crazy-ass resurrection potion for Voldypants....

It's crazy, how much fandom time I spend thinking about how Peter and Remus must have interacted. I want JKR to just write a book about the two of them.

My main mission in this fic was to try and show those interactions, and how Peter was, at one point in his life, a decent human being who got pretty badly messed up by something or various somethings. Like, he wasn't plotting to sell the Potters and Sirius out at eleven and that's why he became friends with them. People who write Marauders fic sometimes portray him as like this scheming, evil little kid who stalked the other three, and that just doesn't work with how their friendship is portrayed in the books. He was their real friend, and I think sometimes Sirius and James didn't treat him like that, and those times kind of festered in his soul.

GAH. MUST WRITE MORE MARAUDERS PETER/REMUS TO DEAL WITH MY FEELINGS.

Me too! Well, I spend too much time thinking about Peter in general, but Peter & Remus's relationship is especially interesting. Because Padfoot and Prongs are such a duo, right? What about the other two?

It drives me crazy when Peter's portrayed as evil from day one. I don't even think he was scheming and evil as an adult. He let his own fear control him, and he made some very shitty choices as a result. I don't think he ever became vindictive. I'm sure all those years of being pushed aside helped him make those choices, but I don't think he joined the Death Eaters because he was left out at Hogwarts.

Although...yeah, he probably got satisfaction out of framing Sirius. >.<;

My biggest head!canon thing is that Peter's animagus form kind of messed with his head, like I tried to kind of explore in the fifth year section and that I want to try and explore in some later stories, that he might have gotten addicted to that feeling of not having to deal with anything outside of just plain survival and so when he was approached by the Death Eaters, the rat's instincts had kind of screwed his up
