Title: The Scariest Thing Summary: The scariest cursed object Sirius ever found in 12 Grimmauld place as a child. Characters/Pairings: Sirius Black Challenge: Ficlet #74 - No dialogue Word Count: 275 Points: 14
[The Scariest Thing]He peered at the object sitting on the table from behind one of the chairs. He wasn’t even supposed to be in this room. There were a lot of rooms he wasn’t allowed in, but he’d be okay as long as his mum didn’t find out he was here. Or that he called her mum in his head. It was always Mother, nothing less. Everything had to be just so and he didn’t like it. Sometimes he’d sneak in places with Regulus, neither one would tell on the other in fear of what she’d do. Yet she always seemed to know exactly where he’d been.
He peeked his head back at the object that say on the table just to make sure it was still there. He had no idea where it came from or what it was but he couldn’t stop staring at it. It was just so hideous. Probably a gift from his dad (father) to his mum. Carefully six year old Sirius made his way closer and closer to the object at the other end of the room on the table on a cushion pillow thing.
He was about to touch it when he went flying across the room. He didn’t need to look over to know that his mum had caught him. She was screaming at him (he’d long learned to nod his head and look like he was listening). Somehow she always knew where he was and he hadn’t been able to figure out how.
The scariest thing in number 12 Grimmauld Place was not an object or some of the people that came and went. It was his mother.

[Soft Kisses]She was lying by the lake on a blanket allowing the water to play with her toes. She had brought a book with her but it sat discarded somewhere to her right. It wasn’t that it wasn’t interesting more like she had ended up closing her eyes for a brief nap. Which, she’d learn later, wasn’t as quick as she thought. The sun was warm and there was a slight breeze. She loved summer. The sights, the sounds, the atmosphere. Her eyes opened as soon as she felt something brush against her. The soft kisses of summer.

She took a few calming breaths before opening her eyes and taking herself in. The bride staring back at her took her breath away and she knew it would do the same to him. She could feel the tears threatening to spill out and let them. They were tears of happiness. Today wasn’t her day it was their day. This was for them.

“Lily kiss me.” Lily rolled her eyes use to the antics of her husband’s best friend by now.
“And why should I?” She knew she’d probably let it go but she was interested in what brought this about.
“It’s St Patrick’s Day.” He replied as if it was obvious and his mind she figured it was.
“So?”
“Kiss me, I’m Irish.”
She laughed. “No you’re not. You’re English.” But bent down to kiss him on the cheek anyways.
Title: Final battle the way it should have ended Summary: It was all over. And here he was still standing. Characters/Pairings: Fred Weasley Challenge: Drabble #44 - Fred didn't die in the Battle of Hogwarts Word Count: 92 Points: 8
[Final battle the way it should have ended]It was all over. Finished. I looked around and didn’t see George anywhere. I ran off in search of him. Trying to clam myself. Remind myself we had won. But I knew none of that would matter if I didn’t find him. We often joked that he was my better half. I knew better. He was my better half. I found myself entering the great hall and heard the voice of my mother fussing over someone. I glanced around quickly and there he was. We had survived, somehow, the both of us.
Title: The First Task - Harry Summary: The First Task - from the perspective of the DRAGONS! Characters/Pairings: dragon, Harry Potter Challenge: Ficlet #69 - The First Task - from the perspective of the DRAGONS! Word Count: 393 Points: 18
[The First Task - Harry]I sat crouched over my babies. Nestled in them was not my baby but it didn’t appear to bring harm to my babies. I was in some sort of compound of confinement, which was different than the reserve I lived in. Nonetheless I lied with my babies to keep them safe. No harm would come to them. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen but I would keep them safe with my dying breath. I closed my eyes, humans always let their guard down when they thought we were being passive HA! My hearing and sense of smell would be enough right now to keep everyone safe. I steadied my breathing and got ready to face the unknown. My tail twitched in anticipation.
I smelled the human before the crowd acknowledged they were in front of me. I waited; there was no reason to make the first move. I would only act if I had to. The human spoke in the odd tongue and I opened my eyes to see what was happening. The small child was flying around the arena. So he was here to harm my babies. That wasn’t going to happen.
I roared and took off after him. He seemed to realize this was a bad idea but it was too late for him. I chased him away from my babies, easily keeping pace with him. If I had to I would harm him but right now I just wanted to scare him. And keep him away from my precious babies. The foolish human rounded and headed back to the arena. I roared again, followed by some warning fire. We were racing back to the area where my babies sat waiting for me to return and keep them warm. The child swooped down and I followed close behind ready to bite or burn if necessary. He reached out and my tail whipped around. HE WOULD NOT HARM MY BABIES! He grabbed the odd egg like object nestled amongst my babies and flew off. I watched him go away and decided to make sure no harm had befallen my precious little ones.
What were those foolish humans doing that they had to put the lives of my unborn babies at risk. Whatever it was, it was over for now. I was happy my babies were fine and we were reunited.
Title: The First Task - Fleur Summary: The First Task - from the perspective of the DRAGONS! Characters/Pairings: dragon, Fleur Delacour Challenge: Ficlet #69 - The First Task - from the perspective of the DRAGONS! Word Count: 160 Points: 10
[The First Task - Fleur]I carefully stalked around my new place of confinement looking for anything that could potentially hurt my unborn children. Seeing nothing I made my way back to my precious pile of eggs and curled up next to them. Though I didn’t see anything that posed a threat my senses were telling me differently and I knew I had to trust my senses. They had never lied to me before. I prepared myself, for what I wasn’t sure but it never hurt to be prepared. The people around me erupted into applauses and out stepped a child. Tiny little thing I could have snapped her like a twig. She began to approach cautiously and I roared once to let her know that wasn’t a good idea. She didn’t seem to get the warning and continued to come closer and closer, her wand held in a death grip. I got ready to prove that the child could be. Easily snapped… in… ha-
Title: The First Task - Cedric Summary: The First Task - from the perspective of the DRAGONS! Characters/Pairings: dragon, Cedric Diggory Challenge: Ficlet #69 - The First Task - from the perspective of the DRAGONS! Word Count: 264 Points: 14
[The First Task - Cedric]A dog materialized out of nowhere and began to run towards my pile of eggs. Noting the danger, I spread my wings and readied my self. I let out a warning roar, which did nothing to deter the animal. Instead it ran faster and faster towards my babies. Out of the corner of my eye I caught movement from the human child. He was rushing towards the pile of eggs but was going behind me instead. Of course, the dog was a distraction. Oh he was cleaver. Realizing I had made a fatal error, I turned my attention back to the boy who was approaching my pile of eggs. He seemed to realize that I was correcting my mistake and moved faster brandishing his wand trying to stop me. I let out a terrible roar and in one giant breath blew fire in his direction. It hit him square on and I could tell because his face had turned many nasty shades of red. I let off a satisfied roar and got ready to attack again. The boy must have realized his mistake because he was retreating, clutching what looked to be a shiny egg. But it wasn’t one of mine. I was sure of it. I only had a moment to be confused before more wizards came out and I lost sight of the child. I let them control me knowing that my babies were all safe. I had no idea what the boy was after or what this was about but my babies were safe and that’s all that mattered to me.
Title: The First Task - Krum Summary: The First Task - from the perspective of the DRAGONS! Characters/Pairings: dragon, Viktor Krum Challenge: Ficlet #69 - The First Task - from the perspective of the DRAGONS! Word Count: 199 Points: 12
[The First Task - Krum]In front of me stood a mere child. He just stood there, wand raised but not moving. He was intriguing. In a moment he was leaping towards me and something hit my eye. It was the same curse that they wizards on the reserve used sometimes when they thought we would hurt them. If they’d just stay away we’d have no reason to harm them. I heard him running and I knew he would come near my pile of eggs. I had no idea where I was going, or where he was. I roared in frustration and took another blind step. I didn’t know where my precious ones were but he would not harm him. There was a sickening crunching sound as I took a step and then another and another. My babies. He had made me step on my own little ones. I roared furiously and spit out fire. If I did it enough I would hit him. Didn’t matter when or how but I would get my revenge. I was still looking for him when a strange noise sounded and I heard multiple people rush into the area. So they were going to protect the foolish child.
