Activity: Wizarding Constellations
Points: 1st/2nd/3rd/Participation Only: 50/40/30/10 points.
Ends: Submissions due 27 Feb 3:30am UTC (26 Feb 9:30pm CST). Voting will follow.
Join: If you own a star chart and/or telescope,
join the club to get your bonus points. Using the current stars in our own sky, create a constellation and myth surrounding it. However, unlike
the last time we did this, the constellation and myth has to be specific to the Wizarding World.
But how, you wonder? I suggest using
The Neave Planetarium and turning off the lines between the constellations (using the lower right button that looks like lines between constellations). Screencap some part of the sky. Then find a shape in bright stars, rather like finding a shape in the clouds. Connect the dots, la la la, and make up a story!
What will we be submitting?
1. The constellation. This means, a group of stars with the objects/animal/person you see in them drawn in. You can draw by hand, stick figures, lines, I don't care. No more than 800 pixels (sum of length and width) please.
2. Your myth. There is a 50 word minimum and a 300 word maximum length.
