So after doing some (not a lot) research I might be thinking about getting a Tiscali broadband package when I move to Manchester, I would like to be with someone else but the area I am living in will restrict me somewhat. I wish, it would make life easier, plus of course I cook use the extra flavour.

Personally I'd avoid Tiscali like the plague. Have a look at the Tiscali message boards over on adslguide.org.uk and you might change your mind.

I seem to be running out of choices... Virgin do it... and of course BT... but I don't like BT.

There are squillions of companies that you can get ADSL from. How much are you looking to pay, and what speed are you after? 512Kbit, 1Mbit and so on?

Whoever you go with, you'll ultimately be giving BT money.

I was with Bulldog last year--£20/month with £50 activation, twas 12 month contract but they do month by month too, might be a bit pricier tho. I have two modems if you need one, I keep being sent them free!
Bulldog were great tho, took a bit to set up, and it went off once or twice, but customer service is great--they actually rang me back!!

My housemates made us go with onetel this year :s 12 month contract, but for £25/month you get free evening and weekend calls. And apparently we've got 2MB speed :) So far so good, but I only set it up this morning!
