Ooh, he did a perfect mixture of poetry, seductiveness, and backing off into a little humor when he notes that Donna is getting more frightened. Using the poetry as he was seducing her was a stroke (ahem!) of genius

Beautiful! I love the interactions between the Doctor and Donna as they come to terms with what's happening and how their relationship is developing, and then the actual lovemaking was spectacular. The poem interwoven with the scene was inspired, and you took as much time crafting perfect description as the Doctor did courting Donna. Very well done!

Well, the actual lovemaking is yet to come. That was just the appetizer. The main course is coming up soon. I had a lot of fun figuring out how to match the lines of the poem to the action in the scene and what the Doctor would do.

I think this is one of my favorite fics that I've written so far (at least the smutty ones). It was challenging to figure out how to work the poetry into the scene and I struggled not to make the Doctor too "dark." I love me some Dark!Doctor in sexytimes scenes (and there's just not enough of that, for my taste), but to a point. Sexytimes!Dark!Doctor would seduce Donna, but he'd never take her against her will, for example (I don't even know if I could or even want to write something like that). That's why I had him ask Donna to let him take the lead at the beginning and to submit to him. She does so, but with slight reservations until he gets her so wrapped up in the seduction that she forgets to be suspicious or cautious. :)

There's much more funtimes to come.

And I admit that I listened to David Tennant reading sonnets on the way home from work to put myself in the mood for writing teh seductive smut. Oh yes! :-D
