Okay, I'm just going to throw this out there, it's probably been discussed to death already, but...

Pete Wentz wanted to be a lawyer.

Gah, Pete's almost-future as a lawyer is one of my favorite things ever, and I've wanted epic AU fic about it for so, so long. You should totally write the full version of this! Ah, thanks! I would totally write it, if my epic-fic-writing skills hadn't abandoned me. But Lawyer!Pete would definitely rock--I like to think that there would be a very carefully planned and pre-meditated dose of courtroom hijinks.

I had this Law & Order AU once upon a time, dude (because I'm psychic, obvsly). But yours is so much better.

(I would also like to word up the comment above me re: Pete's smartz. I know he always says he's just a dumb rock star and most people believe him, but seriously, leaving out all his present mogulling, last year of polisci at fucking DePaul, okay. He is not a moron.*)

Anyway. Tiny offices and tiny apartments and pro bono immigration cases! A world of yes!

Yeah, Pete's probably a pretty smart guy. He's definitely got an impressive vocabulary, and he's obviously well-read. Which, honestly, is part of the reason I think Ashlee's probably not dumb, which makes me want to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Also, as I think I've said before, I have a preternatural affection for geeks.
