Hey Guys. I have some sad news. Have you ever seen Hey Arnold! section on Wikipedia? They have a neatly organized system of HA!-related articles. Now certain Frank Anchor is trying remove many of them, because they are not "notable enough". Last year we were fighting for the article "Helga Pataki", and barely managed to save it. Now the ( Read more... )

Several articles of HA heroes are avialable in russian. Helga Pataki, for example.

I honestly have no idea what makes some people believe that they can be useful destroying other people's work.

I know!
I mean, sure, I understand that they delete self-made wikis that are completely useless (it does sting when they tell you "you're not important enough to be here" tho), but this was a show that aired for 5 years!!!
It is part of our collective memory ; ^;

Deleting the images was the first thing they did, 'cause they are copyrighted material.

The Wikipedia articles should be notable (important), and frankly speaking they are not.

The only way to influence the decision on these on these articles is to express your opinion on the discussion page concerning the matter.

I'll confess that I'm a little bit confused. What do they mean that it's "not notable enough"? That those articles don't have enough content in them or something?

Anyhoo, I'll try to help if I can. Just tell us what exactly needs to be done. Add more stuff on the articles? Write a complaint to that Frank guy?

If we need to write more stuff in the articles, I can try to see what I can whip up. I can't edit Wiki directly, cuz frankly, I have no clue whatsoever how to work Wiki. So I might write stuff on the Critical Analysis, but I'll let you know if I write something that might be put in the Wiki.

According to standards of Wikipedia all the characters must be notable. E.g. you can't make an article about your neighbor (unless he's a VIP of some kind), or your kindergarten, because these subjects are not notable enough.

If you like you can look at the discussion about Helga Pataki we had in November.

The current discussion takes place here.

As for what has to be done, I don't think improving the articles would help. All you can do is to express your opinion at the discussion page I have mentioned which would be considered a vote. Of course you should have a Wikipedia account for that.
