The floor plan of the house which Narcissa Malfoy bought following her official separation with Lucius Malfoy in 1998, as well as some design schemes and notes of late summer, 1998. Rather large images!
I bought the house, Auntie, with the bedroom as it was. It was vacant for many years for the curses on it and I was advised not to try to move the rooms about. Anyway, it's a beautiful room with lots of windows.
*pointed look* No. I don't think that would be wise for anyone.
*grudging* In that case, I suppose. It will need them, facing north.
*impish smile* Somehow I thought you might say that, my love. He'll come to visit me, no doubt. I shall, of course, be placed somewhere with a decent position? The entrance hall looks grand...
*nods* Yes. And it means that the nursery and playroom will get lots of sun in the south west of the house. *soft smile, not directed at Walburga*
*quiet laugh* After all, you really don't want to be subjected to watching the sorts of things that my son does with Harry Potter. But yes, you shall have quite a decent position. I had thought at first the music room but it is so remote from the typical goings on of the house. *matching smile* Which is why I think it will be ideal for some members of the family. But you... hmmm. The entry hall will get quite a bit of sun- I don't want it to be too harsh on you.
Oh. *dismisses the confusion with a wave of her hand*
I had the mangled one remove the curses on my new home. Hawthorn House was heavily spell-damaged and had a tendency to trap people inside until they went completely mad or committed suicide. *nearly pretty smile*
(dutifully goes through the plans and swatches she's brought, making a concerted effort not to too deeply resent the necessity of turning pages by wand to keep from moving his arm-shoulder-neck) (pace sort of hiccups when he gets to the eye-bendingly yellow swatches)
(starts to tilt his head -- has to argue with 'wanting yellow' on principle -- and stops very quickly, looking beyond irritated for a moment before putting that away) I think what I said was that it's an appropriate color for the purpose without overwhelming gender overtones, but yes -- (pauses for a teasing quirk at her, calling her on sneakiness without disapproval) -- and I see you managed to get some pink in there anyway. But, yes. This does seem an especially bright yellow.
*eyebrows shoot up at the abrupt change in his expression then she realises what it's for* *gently* Severus- I will immobilize your head and neck completely if I must.
*offers him obviously too innocent smile* Can it be helped that the fabric that was in the matching shade had a small bit of pink in it?
I think those might be the most perfect colours for a girl's nursery, Mrs. Malfoy. I'm so glad you'll be able to be happy and comfortable in your new house.
I don't suppose... I might come visit once you're all settled?
Just Black now. I am not keeping Lucius' name. *glances at the paint samples* I've been told they are too bright so I'm going to have the walls a shade lighter.
*looks over her a bit more critically than usual then asks rather bluntly* Do you have ulterior motives, Pansy dear? How has the war changed you?
*looks puzzled* Too bright? Why? I think they're sweet.
*blushes* I... don't think it's worth trying to convince you the war's left me innocent, but I'm not trying to get anything, or spy or anything like that. I'm... lost now... I've got nothing. And I made a bad mistake, because I was afraid, and I want to know if he hates me for it.
*small smile* Not everyone is as fond of bright colours and sweetness as we are.
*inclines her head, setting one hand on her stomach, emphasizing the swell of her belly* And so you have no qualms entering the house of traitors to your cause? To seek Draco?
*crosses her arms defensively over the roundness of her belly* Draco has a room which I expect he'll share with Harry when they come to visit. And otherwise, having two spare rooms seems reasonable. And you're hardly one to talk about the smallness of houses.
*makes a show of giving a deep sigh* Yes, big town houses are usually small. Too many people, you know, too cosmopolitan. Then again, I was never a country girl. *smirks*
I meant the size of the dinning-room, Narcissa! Unless you're planning on putting a charm in it...

Pay Weasley? What did you have done?

I have done nothing. You are very quick to judge, Prewett.

No, I asked what you had done in your house by one of my relatives.

*finds Cissa rather interesting here, oddly*
