Ooh, the plot thickens! :D This is exactly the sort of thing Walburga would be involved in orchestrating behing the scenes/from the sidelines actually - that and helping to fund it. Would you mind if she got involved? :)

I am sure she could get involved, my lovely! Although how much credit Lucius would be willing to give her, I am not sure. But donations to the cause are always welcome! And of course, anyone as rich and knowledgable as Mrs Black certainly would deserve at least an advisory position in Lucius' new world order government!

Huzzah! Walburga wouldn't really be bothered about credit, she prefers to work behind the scenes - she wouldn't necessarily work with Lucius either, she tends to do her own thing (unsurprisingly...). But she has a massive amount of influence over the pureblooded world, so she'd probably use it if the fancy took her, possibly without his knowledge, possibly with it. She is tricksy like that. ;D

That's fair enough, although how much credit Lucius would even privately give her is... well, we've seen how those two get on before, so it's probably best that they don't try to co-operate/talk without both of them being chained to opposite walls/have to do any press conferences together.

You know, I'm sure I've seen that campaign line before...

What made you want to run for Minister though? It sounds as if not too many people were expecting it.

I shouldn't imagine you had, my dear.

A sence of duty, desire to help people? Because they way the goverment was running the country was lacking, and something needed to be done before society collapsed. There are very many good reasons.

And maybe they weren't. It is hardly my fault that they didn't keep their ears to the ground, Miss Clearwater.

Possibly not; it still seems familiar though.

Society was near collapsing? I know things were bad in the Muggle world at that time but I thought things started to get better in our world around then. I might have my history a bit muddled though - I was only five at the time - so correct me if I've got it wrong.

*grin*
So, which party would you put yourself in then? I can't really see you as a Tory like Bagnold was...

Possibly because you realise it's a good idea?

I'm afraid Muggle society always appears to be on the brink. And it doesn't have many, if any, positive influences on Wizarding scoeity. And you know yourself that the two cultures do not always get along well. But that isn't the point of my campaign at all.

I don't subscribe to party politics, Miss Clearwater. Party lines and values and doctrine tend to restrict what needs to be done. What we really need to do is get away from grouped idealogy and start doing what needs to be done. I'm sure you understand that.

Clearly, that article didn't make its way across my desk, otherwise I'd have seen fit to correct your age, Lucius.
*narrows his eyes a little*
Or have you been drinking ageing potions?

Aging potions? Lucius?

Closest I've got to a peacock icon. (g)

Of course not aging potions, Severus. Why would anyone want to do that to themselves?

Honestly! The peacock thing is all your fault as it is!

Disguise, change of identity, attain their legal majority/inheritance faster, especially if they had someone acting as, you know, the non-royal equivalent of a regent? Trustee, do I mean?
Of course, I don't know if any of those reasons would be good enough for you...

BWAHA yes. >:D

Are you seeking to change any of the laws deserving of respect, Mr Malfoy?

No, my dear Emmeline, I am seeking to install respect in the laws which deserve it.

That is certainly admirable. And something that needs doing.
But what of the laws that do not deserve it?

The laws that do not deserve respect, my dear lady, are few and far between. They shall be corrected and made respectable.
